Die Zeit rennt denn vom 21. September bis zum 06. Oktober heisst es wieder " O zapft is" auf dem größten deutschen Jahrmarkt - dem Oktoberfest. Ich bin zwar schon stolze Besitzerin eines Dirndl`s aber habe bei 

Alpenherz so wunderschöne Kleider entdeckt, dass ich am überlegen bin mir evtl. noch ein Neues zu kaufen. 

Time is running out because of 21 September to 06 October on it again, "O zapft is" on Germany's largest fair - the Oktoberfest. Although I am already the proud owner of a dirndl but have at Alpenherz  discovered so gorgeous clothes that I think may still be on me to buy a new one.

Ein Leben ohne Ihn? Unvorstellbar! Fast jede Frau liebt Ihn und benutzt Ihn jeden Tag! 

Die Rede ist von dem Mascara, welcher heute seinen 100 Geburtstag feiert.

Ich habe schon so einige ausprobiert und wurde auch schon des öfteren richtig enttäuscht, sodass hässliche Fliegenbeine oder extrem verklebte Augen das Ergebnis waren. Da ich eine kleine Heulsuse bin, habe ich mir angewöhnt nur noch wasserfesten Mascara zu benutzen. Schliesslich habe ich keine Lust wie eine verheulte Medusa auszusehen.

A life without it? Inconceivable! Almost every woman loves it and used it every day!
We are talking about the mascara, which celebrates its 100th birthday today.
I have tried quite a few and also some say was really disappointed, so extremely sticky eyes were the result. Since I am a little crybaby, I got used to use only waterproof mascara. Finally, I have no desire to look like a Medusa.

city of angels

Los Angeles 

Das ist die Stadt der erfüllten und unerfüllten Träume. Geld, Glanz, Staub und Elend mischen sich hier - wie sonst in keiner anderen Stadt. Doch jeder, der schon einmal L.A besucht hat, kennt diesen Magie die dort in der Luft liegt. An unserem ersten Tag haben wir uns den Lunch bei The Ivy, dem Promirestaurant schlechthin gegönnt, waren shoppen bei Kitson und sind danach weiter hoch in die Hollywood Hills gefahren. Die Aussicht dort ist grossartig und die Villen fantastisch.
Genau wie in meinen Träumen ;)

This is the city of fulfilled and unfulfilled dreams. Money, shine, dust and misery mingle here - as usual in any other city. But anyone who has ever visited LA, knows this is where the magic in the air. On our first day we simply allowed ourselves to lunch at The Ivy, the celebrity restaurant, were shopping at Kitson and then drove up into the Hollywood Hills. The view was fantastic and the houses a dream. Yes exactly as I imagined that ;)

eat to the beat

Auf unserem Roadtrip quer durch den Westen der USA in Richtung L.A entdeckten wir ein super schickes Diner im Stil der 50er Jahre. Peggy Sue`s 50`s Diner hat wahrhaftig einen bleibenden Eindruck auf uns "german girls" hinterlassen. Jeder Gast wird von der gestressten Kellnerin mit einem monoton klingenden"Welcome! Come in and take a seat wherever you want" begrüsst und das Essen lässt auch zu wünschen übrig. Aber alleine schon die Location ist einfach sehenswert, sodass der kurze Abstecher sich gelohnt hat.

On our road trip across the western U.S. toward LA we discovered a super fancy dinner in the style of the 50s. Peggy Sue's 50's Diner has truly left a lasting impression on us, "German girls". Every guest is welcomed by the harried waitress with a "Welcome! Come in and take a seat wherever you want" and the food leaves a lot to be desired. But already the location alone is worth seeing, so that the short side trip was worth it.
